PRECISION - ELEGANCE - POWER - GENTLE DISPOSITION
WINDWALZER is a Trakehner Stallion born in the United States of quality parentage. Out of Wonnedame by Saxon, Windwalzer is an domestically-bred stallion with deep European imported bloodlines. Windwalzer was purchased by Flora Jean Weiss in 1990 as an Olympic hopeful and immediately began his training with her as an Eventing participant. He continued for several years as a successful eventing horse, but Flora Jean soon discovered his unusual enthusiasm for the discipline of Dressage. When she began showing in Dressage she met and began training with Olympic Medalist Hilda Gurney. Flora Jean and Windwalzer studied with many other quality German and local Dressage trainers, and from that point on Windwalzer took CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER CHAMPIONSHIP. Flora Jean and Windwalzer are currently competing at Grand Prix Level Dressage in hopes of repeating their USET Olympic Selection position (in 2000 she and Windwalzer were 19th in the Nation long-listed).
Aside from his very impressive Dressage career, Windwalzer's claim to fame is his ability to pass on his excellent disposition to his offspring. Windwalzer foals are agile, athletic, trainable, forgiving, kind, quick to learn, and are very easily socialized to people and other horses. Windwalzer has been bred to Trakehner, Thoroughbred, Hanoverian, Swedish Warmblood, and Arabian mares with consistent results. Please see his PROGENY PAGE for examples of these fine foals. All foals, including crosses with other breeds, are eligible for the American Trakehner Association Futurities if they are registered with the ATA. Monies are awarded to riders, breeders, and owners. Windwalzer has over 30 foals on the ground as of 2004. Delta Farm LLC is proud to represent Windwalzer at stud for the 2004 and 2005 breeding seasons. Please email for video and semen availability. |
